How does the body work?

It is important to know how our body works in order to understand how we can heal it.

The main three key elements of our body system is called the Neuro-Musculo- Skeletal system that consist of:

  • Nerves
  • Muscle
  • Bones

When there is a misalignment of the vertebrae (bone in the spine), it will interfere with proper functioning of the nervous system, thus  resulting in the following symptoms:

  • Contraction of the surrounding muscles and more strain on ligaments, causing inflammation.
  • Increased Sensitivity to pain or soreness.
  • Compromised Circulation in our system. That includes internal organs as well

If left unattended, it will ultimately impact one’s entire well-being and quality of life.

Thus the main goal of a Chiropractor is to restore proper function and mobility of your body. Most importantly, to allow your body to activate it’s ability to heal and regulate itself like a removal of road blockage to function properly again.

Factors contributing to body interference

It is mainly contributed via accumulative impact from the past or present such as:

  • Trauma
  • Under-used of the body
  • Over-used of the body
What will I expect after I get adjustment with a chiropractor?

Usually the normal response to chiropractic care can be immediate improvement within the first 24 to 72 hours. The result depends upon several variables such as:

  • Length of time for the initial trauma if any
  • Age
  • Severity of the decreased/restricted motion of the joints of the spine and or extremities
